Core Mathematics 1 (C1), is the first A-level mathematics module, and provides a foundation for the other modules. It is also the only module in which calculators are not allowed, so it is important to ensure you understand this module. The examination consists of one 1½ hour paper of around ten questions. The main company that writes these questions are Edexcel.
