2...c6?! — Lumata Defense
The position can look similar to the Damiano Defense, especially because Black uses ...c6 to reinforce the d5-pawn.
However, the tactical idea of ...Nxd5?? does not work in the same way.
3. e4 is the main response.
Downsides: Black spends a tempo on ...c6, blocking the natural Nc6 square and delaying development. White can use this time to build a strong center with e4.
