Torre Attack Queens Pawn Opening D03 3...d5 3...d5 (this position is also commonly reached with Black playing d5 first, and then e6) invites White to transpose into a variation of the Queen's Gambit Declined with 4. c4, but more often, if White has chosen this move order, they will continue with the solid but unambitious Torre Attack, playing Nbd2 or e3, with the intention, after castling, to develop their knight to e5, supported by f4 if possible, and launching a kingside attack.
