Et exaltabuntur cornua iusti5(Latin) And the horns of the just man shall be exalted.Gifford (1988) 513.Thornton (1968) 413. This is adapted from Psalms 75:10 (Vulgate 74:11):
+ Psalms 75:10Psalms 75.</noinclude> Et omnia cornua impiorum confringam; exaltabuntur cornua iusti. All the horns of the wicked also will I cut off; but the horns of the righteous shall be exalted.
Stephen is adding a sexual dimension that is not present in the original, echoing Lenehan's Got the horn or what? to Boylan in Sirens.
