The Manhattan is a classic American cocktail.
Ingredients
1 shot Rye or Canadian whiskey
1/2 shot Sweet vermouth
Angostura bitters
Garnishes
Maraschino cherry
Glass
Cocktail Glass
Instructions
Pour whiskey and vermouth over ice in a mixing glass
Add a dash of bitters
Stir and strain into a cocktail glass
Garnish with a cherry
Variations
The Perfect Manhattan (half dry vermouth, half sweet vermouth)
The ratio can be made sweeter or drier
