Black bravely sacrifices the bishop on g4 for the e file to be opened. Accepting the sacrifice would be a fatal error because of the move 11... Ng3+! with a forced mate in 6. It's much better to go 11. Be3! and after the same 11... Ng3 either the bishop on e3 or the rook on h1 will be captured the next move.
