Judicial Yuan Interpretation No. 63 ../Judicial Yuan Interpretation No. 62/ ../Judicial Yuan Interpretation No. 64/ Date 29 August 1956 Issue How should counterfeiting and altering New Taiwan dollar be punished? Holding Article 3 of the Penal Act of Offenses Against National Currency would apply to national currency. New Taiwan dollar would be local currency, thus subject to the Criminal Code for counterfeiting and altering.
