International Postage Meter Stamp Catalog/Great Britain/Neopost Newspaper Machines

Neopost Machines Used on Newspaper Wrappers left|600px Whilst postal regulations normally required the frank to be printed at the top right hand corner of the mail item, this was not always possible on newspaper wrappers due to the limited space available for printing. One solution was to print the frank across the right hand side of the wrapper, to which end Neopost modified several machines for use by newspaper companies. 6 London EC2 "The Financial Times" {| |- |style="width:50px; text-align: left; vertical-align: top;"| 1d 1½d 1d 1½d 1d |style="width:100px; text-align: left; vertical-align: top;"| Design A Design A Design B Design B Design B |style="width:100px; text-align: left; vertical-align: top;"| Type A9Ai Type A9Aii Type Type Type |style="width:550px; text-align: left; vertical-align: top;"| Frank and town name rotated 90 degrees left Frank and town name rotated 90 degrees left Frank and town name rotated 90 degrees left Frank and town name rotated 90 degrees left Frank and town name upright, value die at left of townmark, lower frame line broken |style="width:125px; text-align: left; vertical-align: top;"| -7 III 27 -3 XII 27 27 XII 28 11 I 28 10 VI 32 |style="width:125px; text-align: left; vertical-align: top;"| -3 I 28 - 14 I 30 24 I 30 23 I 33 |} 10 London EC3 "Lloyd's List" / "Lloyd's Daily Index" {| |- |style="width:50px; text-align: left; vertical-align: top;"| 1d 1½d 2½d 1d |style="width:100px; text-align: left; vertical-align: top;"| Design A Design A Design A Design B |style="width:100px; text-align: left; vertical-align: top;"| Type A9Ai Type A9Aii Type A9Ai Type |style="width:550px; text-align: left; vertical-align: top;"| Frank and town name rotated 90 degrees left Frank and town name rotated 90 degrees left Frank and town name rotated 90 degrees left Frank and town name upright, value die at left of townmark |style="width:125px; text-align: left; vertical-align: top;"| 11 VIII 26 23 X 26 7 X 29 24 II 31 |style="width:125px; text-align: left; vertical-align: top;"| 24 IV 30 - 21 VI 34 -7 II 35 |} 109 London EC2 "The Financial News" / "Investor's Chronicle" {| |- |style="width:50px; text-align: left; vertical-align: top;"| 1d 1d 1½d |style="width:100px; text-align: left; vertical-align: top;"| Design B Design B Design B |style="width:100px; text-align: left; vertical-align: top;"| Type Type Type |style="width:550px; text-align: left; vertical-align: top;"| Frank and town name rotated 90 degrees left, date figures seriffed Frank and town name rotated 90 degrees left, date figures sans serif Frank and town name rotated 90 degrees left, date figures sans serif |style="width:125px; text-align: left; vertical-align: top;"| 13 I 30 18 VII 33 13 V 29 |style="width:125px; text-align: left; vertical-align: top;"| 17 II 33 30 V 38 - |}
