Tiebreakers Tiebreakers The teams were ranked according to points (3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, 0 points for a loss). If two or more teams were equal on points on completion of the group matches, the following tie-breaking criteria were applied, in the order given, to determine the rankings: Higher number of points obtained in the group matches played among the teams in question; Superior goal difference resulting from the group matches played among the teams in question; Higher number of goals scored in the group matches played among the teams in question; If, after having applied criteria 1 to 3, teams still had an equal ranking, criteria 1 to 3 were reapplied exclusively to the group matches between the teams in question to determine their final rankings. If this procedure did not lead to a decision, criteria 5 to 9 applied; Superior goal difference in all group matches; Higher number of goals scored in all group matches; If only two teams had the same number of points, and they were tied according to criteria 1 to 6 after having met in the last round of the group stage, their rankings were determined by a penalty shoot-out (not used if more than two teams had the same number of points, or if their rankings were not relevant for qualification for the next stage). Lower disciplinary points total based only on yellow and red cards received in the group matches (red card = 3 points, yellow card = 1 point, expulsion for two yellow cards in one match = 3 points); Drawing of lots. All times were local, AZT (UTC+4).https://www.uefa.com/MultimediaFiles/Download/competitions/general/02/35/19/91/2351991_download.pdf https://web.archive.org/web/20160413075655/http://www.uefa.com/multimediafiles/download/competitions/general/02/35/19/91/2351991_download.pdf dead April 13, 2016 Definitive Match Schedule UEFA Group A main WDL Group A UEFA 17 AZE 17 POR 17 BEL 17 SCO complete 1 1 1 2 6 H 2 1 0 7 0 1 2 0 3 1 0 0 3 0 5 POR BEL AZE SCO Group stage tiebreakers Q KO KO green1 Knockout stage 2016 5 5 y 19:00 17 BEL 2–0 17 SCO Corryn 45Openda 60 Bakcell Arena, Baku 150 Peter Kráľovič (Slovakia) http://www.uefa.com/under17/season=2016/matches/round=2000593/match=2019764/index.html 2016 5 5 y 20:00 17 AZE 0–5 17 POR Gomes 4 16Asadov 24 o.g.Miguel Luís 44Fernandes 76 Baku Olympic Stadium, Baku 33,000 Bartosz Frankowski (Poland) http://www.uefa.com/under17/season=2016/matches/round=2000593/match=2019763/index.html 2016 5 8 y 15:30 17 POR 2–0 17 SCO Quina 37Gomes 55 Dalga Arena, Baku 100 Gunnar Jarl Jónsson (Iceland) http://www.uefa.com/under17/season=2016/matches/round=2000593/match=2019768/index.html 2016 5 8 y 19:00 17 AZE 1–1 17 BEL Mahmudov 77 Bongiovanni 72 Bakcell Arena, Baku 1,500 Petr Ardeleánu (Czech Republic) http://www.uefa.com/under17/season=2016/matches/round=2000593/match=2019767/index.html 2016 5 11 y 16:00 17 SCO 0–1 17 AZE Nabiyev 79 Bakcell Arena, Baku 3,000 Svein-Erik Edvartsen (Norway) http://www.uefa.com/under17/season=2016/matches/round=2000593/match=2019771/index.html 2016 5 11 y 16:00 17 POR 0–0 17 BEL Dalga Arena, Baku 80 Ville Nevalainen (Finland) http://www.uefa.com/under17/season=2016/matches/round=2000593/match=2019772/index.html Group B main WDL Group B UEFA 17 UKR 17 GER 17 AUT 17 BIH complete 0 1 2 3 6 2 1 0 9 3 2 0 1 4 4 1 0 2 3 6 GER AUT BIH UKR Group stage tiebreakers Q KO KO green1 Knockout stage 2016 5 5 y 14:00 17 AUT 2–0 17 BIH Baumgartner 18 35 Bakcell Arena, Baku 150 Petr Ardeleánu (Czech Republic) http://www.uefa.com/under17/season=2016/matches/round=2000593/match=2019766/index.html 2016 5 5 y 17:00 17 UKR 2–2 17 GER Yanakov 33Buletsa 67 Otto 37Schreck 74 Baku Olympic Stadium, Baku 8,000 Gunnar Jarl Jónsson (Iceland) http://www.uefa.com/under17/season=2016/matches/round=2000593/match=2019765/index.html 2016 5 8 y 14:00 17 UKR 0–2 17 AUT Schmid 7V.
