Tail winds and fast water affected the conditions on the Bosbaan but the new marks were allowed to stand by FISA. The records included the sixteen fastest ever times rowed at World Championships, with fourteen of those also being the world's best time. As of 2021 eleven of those marks still stand as the world's best times.Best times at World Rowing BoatTimeCrewNationDay /EventRecordStandingRefM2- Coxless pairs6:09:34Hamish Bond Eric MurrayNZL New ZealandFinal 30 Aug 2014Best time at a World ChampionshipStanding in 2021W2- Coxless pairs 6:50.61Helen Glover Heather StanningGBR Great BritainFinal 30 Aug 2014World's Best TimeBeaten in 2017 LM4x Lightweight quad sculls5:42.75Georgios Konsolas Spyridon Giannaros Panagiotis Magdanis Eleftherios KonsolasGRE GreeceSemi Final 30 Aug 2014World's Best TimeStanding in 2021Best times World RowingMagdanis at World RowingLW4x Lightweight single sculls6:43.37Marcello MianiITA ItalyFinal 30 Aug 2014World's Best TimeBeaten in 2018Miani at World RowingLW4x Lightweight quadruple sculls6:15.95Mirte Kraaijkamp Elisabeth Woerner Maaike Head Ilse PaulisNED NetherlandsFinal 30 Aug 2014World's Best TimeStanding in 2021https://worldrowing.com/athlete/e5ef436b-17f4-4908-b58d-c70816ffe2d1 Paulis at World Rowing 4 July 2021 16 April 2021 https://web.archive.org/web/20210416030346/https://worldrowing.com/athlete/e5ef436b-17f4-4908-b58d-c70816ffe2d1 dead LM2- Lightweight coxless pairs6:22.91Simon Niepmann Lucas TramèrSUI Switzerland Final 30 Aug 2014World's Best TimeStanding in 2021https://worldrowing.com/athlete/c3d8e25b-cd09-4b90-baa4-00b0ccb63c74 Niepmann at World Rowing 4 July 2021 12 January 2021 https://web.archive.org/web/20210112004740/https://worldrowing.com/athlete/c3d8e25b-cd09-4b90-baa4-00b0ccb63c74 dead M2+ Coxed pairs6:33.26Hamish Bond Eric Murray Caleb Shepherd (cox)NZL New ZealandFinal 30 Aug 2014World's Best TimeStanding in 2021Bond at World RowingW4- Coxless four6:14.36Grace Prendergast Kayla Pratt Kerri Gowler Kelsey BevanNZL New ZealandFinal 30 Aug 2014World's Best TimeStanding in 2021https://worldrowing.com/athlete/cdde2ea5-258b-42c1-a0ec-9837337d78ca Prendergast at World Rowing 4 July 2021 6 May 2021 https://web.archive.org/web/20210506211028/https://worldrowing.com/athlete/cdde2ea5-258b-42c1-a0ec-9837337d78ca dead LM4- Lightweight coxless four5:43.16Kasper Winther Jørgensen Jacob Larsen Jacob Barsøe Morten JørgensenDEN DenmarkSemi-final30 Aug 2014World's Best TimeStanding in 2021https://worldrowing.com/athlete/f8327d60-c62a-4aa3-8041-dcb7e9a911ae Larsen at World Rowing 4 July 2021 7 January 2021 https://web.archive.org/web/20210107122442/https://worldrowing.com/athlete/f8327d60-c62a-4aa3-8041-dcb7e9a911ae dead W2x Double sculls6:37.31Olympia Aldersey Sally KehoeAUS AustraliaSemi-final30 Aug 2014World's Best TimeStanding in 2021Kehoe at World RowingM2x Double sculls5:59.72Martin Sinković Valent SinkovićCRO CroatiaSemi-final30 Aug 2014World's Best TimeStanding in 2021https://worldrowing.com/athlete/8f314d68-5659-4d35-9497-a329549e03f9 Sinkovic at World Rowing 4 July 2021 11 January 2021 https://web.archive.org/web/20210111201150/https://worldrowing.com/athlete/8f314d68-5659-4d35-9497-a329549e03f9 dead M4x Quad sculls5:32.26Artem Morozov Oleksandr Nadtoka Dmytro Mikhay Ivan DovhodkoUKR UkraineSemi-final31 Aug 2014World's Best TimeStanding in 2021Dovgodko at World RowingLW2x Lightweight double sculls6:43.79Sophie MacKenzie Julia EdwardNZL New ZealandFinal31 Aug 2014World's Best TimeBeaten in 2016Edward at World RowingW4x Quad sculls6:06.84Carina Bär Julia Lier Annekatrin Thiele Lisa SchmidlaGER GermanyFinal31 Aug 2014World's Best TimeStanding in 2021https://worldrowing.com/athlete/5afa82d9-2514-4556-b6d0-0f016ccffbcf Schmidla at World Rowing 4 July 2021 11 January 2021 https://web.archive.org/web/20210111113934/https://worldrowing.com/athlete/5afa82d9-2514-4556-b6d0-0f016ccffbcf dead M4- Coxless four5:40.24Andrew Triggs HodgeAlex Gregory George Nash Moe SbihiGBR Great BritainFinal31Aug 2014Best time at a World Championship Standing in 2021Alex Gregory at World RowingLM2x Lightweight double sculls6:05.36John Smith James ThompsonRSA South AfricaFinal31Aug 2014World's Best TimeStanding in 2021Thompson at World Rowing References External links Official website 2014 World Category:International sports competitions hosted by the Netherlands World Rowing Championships, 2014 World Rowing Championships World Rowing Championships Category:August 2014 sports events in the Netherlands Category:2010s in Amsterdam
