The Flyers finished the season tied with the NHL record for most overtime losses in a season with 18, which was also held by the 2008–09 Tampa Bay Lightning, 2011–12 Florida Panthers, and 2013–14 New Jersey Devils. This record would later be broken by the 2025–26 Los Angeles Kings, who finished the season with 20 overtime losses.
