It is not a form of playoffs at the end of the season (as is typically seen in North American sports), but is more like the Canadian Championship or the FA Cup, albeit only for League1 Ontario teams. All matches are separate from the regular season, and are not reflected in the season standings. The cup tournament for the men's division consists of two phases. The first phase is a group phase, where four groups of three teams play in a single round-robin format. From each group, the top two teams advance to the knockout phase, which consists of a quarterfinal, semifinal, and final. Each match in the group stage must return a result; any match drawn after 90 minutes will advance directly to kicks from the penalty mark, with the winner receiving two points in the standings, while the loser receives one point.2015 L1 Cup Standings http://league1ontario.com/page/l1-cup-standings League1 Ontario June 18, 2015 https://web.archive.org/web/20150618132327/http://league1ontario.com/page/l1-cup-standings June 18, 2015 dead Likewise, any knockout round matches which are tied after full time head directly to penalty kicks instead of extra time.ProStars FC on Twitter https://twitter.com/ProStarsFC/status/624033961170325504 July 23, 2015 ProStars FC Twitter Group stage Group A main WL OT true PW PL VGN 2 0 0 0 8 1 Vaughan Azzurri KNG 1 0 0 1 5 7 Kingston Clippers MAS 0 0 0 2 3 8 Master's FA 1-4 — — 3-4 4-0 — Q green1 Advance to knockout stage adv adv complete League1 Ontario Group B main WL OT true PW PL SIG 1 0 0 1 6 4 Sigma FC ANB 1 0 0 1 4 5 ANB Futbol OAK 1 0 0 1 2 3 Oakville Blue Devils 2-5 — — 0-2 1-2 — Q green1 Advance to knockout stage adv adv complete League1 Ontario Group C main WL OT true PW PL WDB 2 0 0 0 5 2 Woodbridge Strikers DUR 1 0 0 1 7 2 Durham United FC SAN 0 0 0 2 1 9 Sanjaxx Lions Q green1 Advance to knockout stage adv adv — 1-3 2-1 — — 6-0 complete League1 Ontario Group D main WL OT true PW PL PRO 1 1 0 0 7 3 ProStars FC WSR 1 0 1 0 6 4 Windsor Stars TFC 0 0 0 2 4 10 Toronto FC Academy Q green1 Advance to knockout stage adv adv 5-2 — — 2-1 2-5 — complete League1 Ontario Knockout stage 40 high Vaughan Azzurri 1 ANB Futbol 3 Sigma FC 6 Kingston Clippers 2 Woodbridge Strikers 2 Windsor Stars 1 ProStars FC 1 (4) Durham United FC 1 (5) ANB Futbol 1 Sigma FC 3 Woodbridge Strikers 0 (7) Durham United FC 0 (6) Sigma FC 1 Woodbridge Strikers 2 Quarterfinals July 23, 2015 7:00 pm Vaughan Azzurri 1–3 Report ANB Futbol Arnone 65 Reid 867 o.g.Mills 87 McNaughton Park Maple, Ontario July 22, 2015 7:00 pm Sigma FC 6–2 Report Kingston Clippers Lee 14Halis 32Hanson 61Zajac 66Mrabure 79Nanco 82 Martin 76Piccioli 87 Hershey Centre Mississauga, Ontario July 19, 2015 7:00 pm Woodbridge Strikers 2–1 Report Windsor Stars Zwane 17Farquharson 75 Ademolu 28 Vaughan Grove Woodbridge, Ontario July 22, 2015 8:00 pm ProStars FC 1–1 Report Durham United FC Allen 34 Zupo 8 4–5 Theobald Fayehun Allen Piccinin Allen Mickallef Mickallef Zupo Stowell Tarazhi Dover Moncrieffe Young Oliveira Victoria Park Brampton, Ontario Semifinals August 4, 2015 9:00 pm Sigma FC 3–1 Report ANB Futbol Laryea 12Nanco 17 62 Iannicito 74 Hershey Centre Mississauga, Ontario July 29, 2015 9:00 pm Woodbridge Strikers 0–0 Report Durham United FC 7–6 Vaughan Grove Woodbridge, Ontario Final August 9, 2015 6:00 pm Woodbridge Strikers 2–1 Report Sigma FC Bygrave 19Cavallini 56 Kalonji 89 Ontario Soccer Centre Vaughan, Ontario Inter-Provincial Cup Championship The Inter-Provincial Cup Championship was a two-legged home-and-away series between the league champions of League1 Ontario and the Première Ligue de soccer du Québec – the only Division 3 men's semi-professional soccer leagues based fully within Canada.
