August 2023 International Soccer League 1960 12 BRA Bangu 1961 The 1960 season was the inaugural edition of the International Soccer League, a soccer competition in the United States that invited teams from Europe and South America during their off-seasons. The inaugural season featured 12 teams, including the U.S.-based New York Americans, who were divided into two groups with round-robin play that began on May 25.
