They finished the season 10–22, 3–15 in SoCon play to finish in last place. They lost in the first round of the SoCon tournament to Mercer. Preseason With the hiring of Duggar Baucom as head coach, The Citadel adopted a more up-tempo style, similar to that which Baucom used at VMI. This is in stark contrast to the slow, deliberate pace employed in recent seasons by previous coach Chuck Driesell. A large turnover in personnel resulted, with several early commits deciding to go elsewhere, and several of Baucom's recruits at VMI following him to Charleston. Baucom also landed two graduate students who transferred to The Citadel to play their final year of eligibility.http://www.postandcourier.com/article/20151007/PC20/151009502 https://web.archive.org/web/20160304073148/http://www.postandcourier.com/article/20151007/PC20/151009502 dead March 4, 2016 Post and Courier Under Duggar Baucom, Citadel basketball will 'embrace the pace' Charleston, SC October 7, 2015 Jeff Hartsell October 16, 2015 The Bulldogs were picked to finish 9th in the 10 team Southern Conference by both the media and coaches.http://www.timesfreepress.com/news/sports/college/story/2015/oct/22/utc-mens-basketball-tabbed-socon-favorite/331915/ Times Free Press Chattanooga, Tennessee Gene Henley UTC men's basketball tabbed as SoCon favorite October 22, 2015 October 22, 2015 Departures Aside from three seniors, The Citadel also lost freshman guard Jake Wright to transfer.http://www.postandcourier.com/article/20150331/PC20/150339881/1032/citadel-x2019-s-baucom-nets-first-recruit https://web.archive.org/web/20150402114811/http://www.postandcourier.com/article/20150331/PC20/150339881/1032/citadel-x2019-s-baucom-nets-first-recruit dead April 2, 2015 Citadel Notes: New coach Duggar Baucom nets first recruit; Oxendine signs with CFL Jeff Hartsell Post and Courier Charleston, SC March 31, 2015 April 1, 2015 Coach Baucom landed two recruits, who signed National Letters of Intent on April 20, 2015.http://www.postandcourier.com/article/20150420/PC20/150429942/1032/citadel-coach-duggar-baucom-signs-first-two-basketball-players https://web.archive.org/web/20150819043223/http://www.postandcourier.com/article/20150420/PC20/150429942/1032/citadel-coach-duggar-baucom-signs-first-two-basketball-players dead August 19, 2015 Citadel coach Duggar Baucom signs first two basketball players Jeff Hartsell Post and Courier Charleston, SC April 20, 2015 April 20, 2015 Name Position Class Reason C.
