The likely reason for the return to white shirts was probably due to clothes rations implemented due to World War II.Dundee - Historical Kits http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/Scottish_Football_League/Dundee/Dundee.htm live https://web.archive.org/web/20070315182841/http://www.historicalkits.co.uk:80/Scottish_Football_League/Dundee/Dundee.htm 2007-03-15 7 February 2021 historicalkits.co.uk Southern Football League 1945–46 Southern Football League (Scotland) Statistics provided by Dee Archive.
