Iran's national basketball team went on to win their fourth title by winning all of their seven games in the tournament. Due to the 2013 Guang Da Xing No. 28 incident, Taiwanese officials withdrew its invitation for the Philippines men's national basketball team, the defending champions of the tournament, citing that the withdrawal of the invitation would ensure the safety of the Philippine representatives following the diplomatic incident between the Philippines and the host country (Taiwan). Egypt's national basketball team replaced the Philippines and made its debut in the tournament.http://pba.inquirer.net/26093/gilas-no-longer-invited-in-jones-cup GILAS NO LONGER INVITED TO JONES CUP | Philippine Basketball Association Pba.inquirer.net 2013-05-27 2013-09-04http://www.taipeitimes.com/News/sport/archives/2013/06/22/2003565387 Davis set to lead Taiwan at 35th William Jones Cup Taipei Times 2013-08-28 2013-09-04 Men's tournament Team standings TeamPld PlayedW WonL LostPF Played forPA Played againstPD Points differencePts PointsTie*IRI770520427+9314TPE752542500+42121–0KOR752517469+48120–1USA Pro Basketball Alumni743559539+20111–0EGY743506513–7110-1JOR725471534–639JPN716459489–308TPE Kuang-hua707509612–1037LIB (disqualified)725474508–349 Notes: Tiebreaker based on head-to-head record.
