The author denounced: "That so savage and barbarious a game can meet with the approval of Christian educators and ministers of the gospel in the year of our Lord 1902 is one of the amazing exhibitions of the century."Denunciation of Football: A Britton Correspondent Writes a Scathing Criticism; Is a Brutal Game The Daily Argus-Leader December 15, 1902 11 https://www.newspapers.com/article/argus-leader-denunciation-of-football-a/138868338/ Newspapers.com Schedule y y September 25 at 1902 Sioux Falls Braves Sioux Falls County fair Sioux Falls, SD W 33-0 Football At Sioux Falls—Vermillion Beats Local Team by Score of 33 to 0 https://www.newspapers.com/article/sioux-city-journal/138891927/ Sioux City Journal Sioux City, Iowa September 26, 1902 7 January 16, 2024 Newspapers.com 1902 Missouri Mines Miners Missouri Mines W 23-0 October 9 at 1902 Yankton Greyhounds Yankton Local athletic field Yankton, SD W 39-0 Vermillion Defeats Yankton At Football https://www.newspapers.com/article/argus-leader/138891127/ The Daily Argus-Leader Sioux Falls, South Dakota October 11, 1902 11 January 16, 2024 Newspapers.com October 14 at Omaha Medical College Omaha, NE W 12-0 Only One Man Hurt: Vermillion is None the Worse From Omaha Game The Daily Argus-Leader October 16, 1902 9 https://www.newspapers.com/article/argus-leader-only-one-man-hurt-vermilli/138867673/ Newspapers.com October 25 vs. 1902 South Dakota Mines Hardrockers South Dakota Mines Riverside grounds Sioux City, IA W 23-0 University Is Victorious: Rapid City School of Mines Is Defeated, 23 to 0 Sioux City Journal October 26, 1902 https://www.newspapers.com/clip/54140839/university-is-victorious-rapid-city/ Newspapers.com November 12 Yankton Vermillion, SD W 23-0 Yankton Was Easy for The Vermillion Eleven The Argus-Leader November 12, 1902 https://www.newspapers.com/clip/34960293/yankton-football-1902-argus-leader/ Newspapers.com November 14 Omaha Medical College Vermillion, SD W 34-0 Vermillion Won Again https://www.newspapers.com/article/argus-leader/138892830/ The Daily Argus-Leader Sioux Falls, South Dakota November 15, 1902 9 January 16, 2024 Newspapers.com November 20 at South Dakota Agricultural Brookings, SD (rivalry) W 10-0 Swift Game Of Football https://www.newspapers.com/article/argus-leader/138888848/ The Daily Argus-Leader Sioux Falls, South Dakota November 21, 1902 9 January 16, 2024 Newspapers.com November 27 1902 Morningside Morningside Woodland Park Sioux City, IA W 6-0 1,000 South Dakota Wins, 5 to 0 The Sioux City Journal November 28, 1902 https://www.newspapers.com/clip/54140490/south-dakota-wins-5-to-0/ Newspapers.com South Dakota 2023 Football Media Guide https://goyotes.com/documents/2023/8/29/2023_FB_Media_Guide.pdf University of South Dakota Athletics 49 January 16, 2024 References South Dakota Category:South Dakota Coyotes football seasons Category:College football undefeated seasons South Dakota Coyotes football
