They finished the season 24–9, 12–6 in Big 12 play and lost in the semifinals of the 2011 Big 12 men's basketball tournament to their rival Texas. They received an at-large berth in the 2011 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament where they lost in the second round to Florida State. Previous season The Aggies finished the previous year with a 24–10 record and a second-round appearance in the NCAA tournament–one of only two programs in the country to win a game in the tournament each of the previous five years.http://blogs.aggieathletics.com/fastbreak/2010/03/20/aggies-battle-boilermakers-sunday-in-ncaa-second-round/ Aggies battle Boilermakers Sunday in NCAA second round Killian, Colin 2010-03-30 https://web.archive.org/web/20110106231435/http://blogs.aggieathletics.com/fastbreak/2010/03/20/aggies-battle-boilermakers-sunday-in-ncaa-second-round/ 2011-01-06 dead Preseason Player departures The Aggies will be without guard Donald Sloan and forward Bryan Davis, both of whom graduated as members of the winningest class in Texas A&M history, with 100 victories over four years. Guard Derrick Roland broke his tibia and fibula in a game on December 22, 2009, and missed the rest of the season. Although he used up his four years of NCAA athletic eligibility, he filed a medical redshirt appeal to get an extra year, but was denied. http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/spt/colleges/texasam/stories/071710dnspoagappeal.147d47f2e.html dead https://web.archive.org/web/20100719032056/http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/spt/colleges/texasam/stories/071710dnspoagappeal.147d47f2e.html 2010-07-19 NCAA denies appeal by A&M;'s Derrick Roland for extra year of eligibility Texas A&M; Aggies News Sports News News for Dallas, Texas Dallas Morning News Recruiting http://rivals.yahoo.com/basketballrecruiting/basketball/recruiting/commitments/2010/texasam-84 Rivals.com 2010 Texas A&M Commitmentshttp://kansas.scout.com/a.z?s=172&p=9&c=8&cfg=bb&toinid=372&sspid=-1&yr=2010 Scout.com Texas A&M College Basketball Recruiting Commitshttps://www.espn.com/college-sports/basketball/recruiting/school?id=245 Texas A&M Basketball Recruiting 2010 - ESPN no no 2010 Daniel Alexander PF Dripping Springs, Texas Dripping Springs HS 6 8 192 2009-05-13 4 4 93 Keith Davis PF DeSoto, Texas Lee (ME) HS 6 9 225 2009-10-05 4 3 89 Kourtney Roberson C Arcadia, Louisiana Christian Life Center Academy (TX) 6 9 245 2008-06-09 3 3 93 |- | colspan="7" style="padding-left:10px;" | Overall Recruiting Rankings: |} Roster 2011 Texas A&M Aggies y Daniel Alexander y basketball 15 F 6 8 210 FR Dripping Springs, Texas Alex Baird 24 G 6 1 170 JR Flower Mound, Texas Marshall Carrell 33 F 6 9 230 SR Paris, Texas Andrew Darko 12 G 6 1 175 SR yes Conroe, Texas Keith Davis 4 C 6 9 220 FR Dallas, Texas Dash Harris 5 G 6 1 175 JR Los Angeles, California Naji Hibbert 23 G 6 6 200 SO Baltimore, Maryland B.J.
