The 1906 South Australian Football Association season was the thirtieth season of the top-level Australian rules football competition in South Australia.Australian Football 1906 SAFA Premiership Season https://australianfootball.com/seasons/season/sanfl/107/men%2527s%2Bpremiership%2Bseason/3/3/1906/basic It was the last season before the league changed its name to the "South Australian Football League".
Defending premiers , affected by the loss of "Dinny" Reedman, struggled early in the season before a grand recovery saw them reach the challenge final, where a developing champion team who had been unable to find the goals in the semi-final won via a second-quarter burst.
