The cup is contested only once per season, so in the years where the Raiders and Tigers are scheduled to meet twice, the clubs decide which of those two matches will decide the winner of the trophy. The first Cup match was in Round 5 of the 2008 NRL season.raiders.com.au 1989 League Legends Cup http://www.raiders.com.au/2008/detail_desc.php?news_id=633 2008-04-09 2008-04-10 https://web.archive.org/web/20080720093450/http://www.raiders.com.au/2008/detail_desc.php?news_id=633 2008-07-20 dead Games Played HomeScoreAwayMatch InformationDate and TimeVenueReferee(s)Crowd Canberra right Canberra Raiders30-24 Wests Tigers Wests Tigers 13 April 2008, 2:00pm Canberra Stadium Sean Hampstead12,240www.rleague.com CARNEY SHINES AS RAIDERS DOWN TIGERS http://www.rleague.com/db/article.php?id=30122 2008-04-14 2008-07-15 https://web.archive.org/web/20080615050903/http://www.rleague.com/db/article.php?id=30122 15 June 2008 live Wests Tigers right Wests Tigers 34-26 Canberra Canberra Raiders 16 March 2009, 7:00pm Campbelltown Stadium Jared Maxwell Gerard Sutton 17,392sportal Tigers win it late Adam Lucius http://sportal.com.au/League-news-display/tigers-win-it-late-66835 2009-03-16 2009-03-21 https://web.archive.org/web/20110804222830/http://www.sportal.com.au/League-news-display/tigers-win-it-late-66835 2011-08-04 dead Canberra right Canberra Raiders22-35 Wests Tigers Wests Tigers 4 April 2010, 3:00pm Canberra Stadium Shayne Hayne Brett Suttor 17,112The Daily Telegraph Wests Tigers beat Canberra Raiders 35-22 with Benji Marshall inspirational in second half Andrew Webster http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/sport/nrl/wests-tigers-beat-canberra-raiders-35-22-with-benji-marshall-inspirational-in-second-half/story-e6frexnr-1225849552501 2010-04-05 2010-07-30 23 September 2012 https://web.archive.org/web/20120923182925/http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/sport/nrl/wests-tigers-beat-canberra-raiders-35-22-with-benji-marshall-inspirational-in-second-half/story-e6frexnr-1225849552501 live Wests Tigers right Wests Tigers 34-24 Canberra Canberra Raiders 26 March 2011, 7:30pm Campbelltown Stadium Ben Cummins Brett Suttor 14,091Raiders.com.au Ferguson hat trick cant save mistaken riddled Raiders Simon McGuinness http://www.raiders.com.au/default.aspx?s=newsdisplay&id=34829 2011-03-26 2011-05-21 https://web.archive.org/web/20110928025045/http://www.raiders.com.au/default.aspx?s=newsdisplay&id=34829 2011-09-28 dead Canberra right Canberra Raiders22-35 Wests Tigers Wests Tigers 1 May 2011, 2:00pm Canberra Stadium Ashley Klein Gerard Sutton 13,425Raiders.com.au Tigers too strong for Raiders http://www.raiders.com.au/default.aspx?s=newsdisplay&id=36268 2011-05-01 2011-05-21 https://web.archive.org/web/20110928025146/http://www.raiders.com.au/default.aspx?s=newsdisplay&id=36268 2011-09-28 dead Head To Head Played Raiders Draws Tigers 5 1 0 4 See also Sports References External links Category:Canberra Raiders matches Category:Wests Tigers matches Category:Rugby league trophies and awards Category:Awards established in 2008 Lea Category:National Rugby League Category:Rugby league rivalries Category:Rugby league in Sydney Category:Sports rivalries in Australia Category:1989 awards Category:2008 establishments in Australia
