The tournament took place at Maritim Hotel in Düsseldorf, Germany, from 29 to 31 July 2016. It featured a field of 48 players and £115,000 in prize money, with £25,000 going to the winner. Robert Thornton was the defending champion, but he lost in the second round to Wes Newton.
