Cork emerged as winners after a controversial 1–7 to 1–6 win over Dublin. In the 22nd minute Dublin's Carla Rowe had a point disallowed. The umpires waved the effort wide but TV replays showed that Rowe's shot had actually gone between the posts. As Hawk-Eye was not used in the All-Ireland Senior Ladies' Football Championship, the decision stood. At half-time Dublin were leading by 0–4 to 0–3. As the second half started Rhona Ní Bhuachalla came on as a substitute and scored with an assist from Ciara O'Sullivan. The teams were level at 1–3 to 0–6 with twenty minutes remaining before Cork scored four unanswered points between the 48th and 54th minutes. Doireann O'Sullivan scored three while Orla Finn was also on target. Dublin were four points down in the final minute when Sinéad Aherne scored from a penalty.https://www.rte.ie/sport/gaa/2016/0925/819098-cork-v-dublin/ Drama as Cork edge out Dublin to seal six-in-a-row www.rte.ie 25 September 2016 16 April 2018https://www.independent.ie/sport/gaelic-games/gaelic-football/explained-heres-why-hawkeye-was-not-used-in-the-ladies-football-final-35078784.html Explained: Here's why Hawkeye was not used in the Ladies football final www.independent.ie 16 April 2018 26 September 2016 Route to the Final 2016 All-Ireland Senior Ladies' Football Championship Match info 25 September 2016 Croke Park, Dublin Cork ladies' football Rhona Ní Bhuachalla (1-0)Doireann O'Sullivan (0-3)Orla Finn (0-3)Orlagh Farmer (0-1) 1-7; 1-6 Dublin ladies' football Sinéad Aherne (1-3)Niamh McEvoy (0-1)Noëlle Healy (0-1)Lyndsey Davey (0-1) Brendan Rice (Down) https://www.rte.ie/sport/gaa/2016/0925/819098-cork-v-dublin/ Drama as Cork edge out Dublin to seal six-in-a-row www.rte.ie 25 September 2016 16 April 2018http://www.the42.ie/cork-dublin-live-3-2995414-Sep2016/ As it happened: Cork v Dublin, All-Ireland ladies senior football final www.the42.ie 25 September 2016 16 April 2018https://www.sportsfile.com/more-images/671899139/ Cork v Dublin - TG4 Ladies Football All-Ireland Senior Football Championship Final Photos www.sportsfile.com 16 April 2018 25 September 2016 34,445 Teams Manager: Ephie Fitzgerald Team:1 Martina O'Brien2 Marie Ambrose3 Bríd Stack 4 Roisín Phelan5 Shauna Kelly6 Deirdre O'Reilly7 Vera Foley8 Annie Walsh9 Briege Corkery10 Rena Buckley11 Aine O'Sullivan12 Orlagh Farmer13 Ciara O'Sullivan (c)14 Doireann O'Sullivan15 Orla Finn Substitutes:Rhona Ní Bhuachalla for Á.
