They finished with a 1–5–1 record (0–3–1 in conference play, 1–1–0 at home, 0–4–1 on the road). Season After beginning their program with two winning seasons, the men's hockey team had a horrendous third year, losing five of their seven games and being utterly dominated in those games. The only contests they did not get controlled in were the two against teams playing in their first year. Unfortunately, this began a trend of losing for Brown that would not be corrected for almost 30 years. Charles Cooke was the captain of the team despite not playing in any games and having graduated in 1899. Note: Brown University did not formally adopt the Bear as its mascot until the fall of 1905.https://www.brown.edu/Administration/News_Bureau/Databases/Encyclopedia/search.php?serial=B0130 Bear Brown University December 30, 2019 Roster yes LeRoy Bartlett so F 1880 12 17 USA Kingston, Rhode Island yes William Bates jr 1879 1 7 USA Providence, Rhode Island yes Harrison Chase jr G yes Horace Day sr F yes Charles Eaton jr yes Frank Gooding jr yes Charles Hoyt jr yes William Low jr F 1879 4 16 USA Providence, Rhode Island yes Horatio Otis fr F 1883 11 29 USA Providence, Rhode Island yes Theodore Pevear so 1881 3 5 USA Lynn, Massachusetts yes Harry Phillips so D yes Robert Steere jr D yes George Taylor jr yes George Walworth fr yes https://www.eliteprospects.com/team/1320/brown-univ./1899-1900?tab=stats 1899-1900 Roster Elite Prospects December 30, 2019 Standings BRN BRN Schedule and results no |- !colspan=12 style="Brown Bears #FFFFFF;" | Regular Season January 14 w yes no MIT Aldrich Field Rink Providence, Rhode Island 6–2 1–0–0 January 24 l yes no Harvard Aldrich Field Rink Providence, Rhode Island 1–8 1–1–0 January 27 l yes no Columbia St. Nicholas Rink New York, New York 2–7 1–2–0 0–1–0 February 2 l yes yes no Harvard Franklin Park Boston, Massachusetts 1–7 1–3–0 February 9 l yes no Yale New Haven, Connecticut 2–7 1–4–0 0–2–0 February 23 l yes no Columbia St. Nicholas Rink New York, New York 1–4 1–5–0 0–3–0 February 24 t yes no Princeton St. Nicholas Rink New York, New York 4–4 OT 1–5–1 0–3–1 no no https://s3.amazonaws.com/sidearm.sites/brownuni.sidearmsports.com/documents/2018/5/7/2009_Men_s_Ice_Hockey_Media_Guide_Part_2.pdf 2009–10 Brown men's ice hockey media guide part 2 Brown Bears December 30, 2019 February 8, 2023 https://web.archive.org/web/20230208140804/https://s3.amazonaws.com/sidearm.sites/brownuni.sidearmsports.com/documents/2018/5/7/2009_Men_s_Ice_Hockey_Media_Guide_Part_2.pdf dead References 50em Category:Brown Bears men's ice hockey seasons Brown Brown Brown
