The title song written by Sal Trimachi and Bobbi Trimachi, was the albums' only hit single for the band, peaking at #5 on the Billboard Hot 100, with both the album and the single just barely missing the success of their first release. As with their previous album there has been questions about who played what. Original drummer Floyd Marcus has stated that he still played on the records even when a new drummer, Rusty Oppenheimer, was brought in. This does not seem to be the case for this album, as Oppenheimer receives a writing credit on the album but also does not perform on it as Marcus has explained that a number of session musicians were brought in to record new backing tracks for Mark Gutkowski to sing over while the band was out touring.http://www.bubblegum-music.com/1910thetruth Floyd Marcus bubblegum-music.com 12 March 2009 February 27, 2009 https://archive.today/20090227234313/http://www.bubblegum-music.com/1910thetruth dead This is supported by former Super K Productions staff writer and producer, Steve Dworkin, who, in an email to Unofficial 1910 Fruitgum Company Home Page creator Jonathan Gatarz, has listed the names of the session musicians.http://www.geocities.com/j_gatarz/1910FGC/fgemail.htm Steve Dworkin at geocities.com 25 April 2011 April 25, 2009 https://archive.today/20090425200814/http://www.geocities.com/j_gatarz/1910FGC/fgemail.html dead Track listing 1, 2, 3, Red Light Sal Trimachi Bobbi Trimachi 1:55 The Song Song Steve Dworkin Gary Willet 2:30 Shirley Applegate Mark Gutkowski Ted Gutkowski 2:04 The Mighty Quinn Bob Dylan 3:04 Yummy, Yummy, Yummy Joey Levine Artie Resnick 2:18 9, 10, Let's Do It Again Sal Trimachi Bobbi Trimachi 2:05 The Book Floyd Marcus 2:26 Sister John Gutkowski Gutkowski 2:10 Take Away Marcus 2:22 Lookin' Back Pat Karwan 2:26 Blue Eyes and Orange Skies Gutkowski Rusty Oppenheimer Gutkowski Karwan 2:00 Personnel Mark Gutkowski – vocals Kenny Laguna – keyboards Steve Feldman – keyboards Jimmy Calvert – lead guitar Paul Nauman – rhythm guitar Norman Marzano – bass guitar Joe D'Andrea – drums Charts Chart (1968) Peakposition US Billboard Top LPshttps://www.billboard.com/charts/billboard-200/1968-12-21/ Billboard 200 21 December 1968 Billboard 7 July 2025163 Singleshttp://www.allbusiness.com/retail-trade/miscellaneous-retail-retail-stores-not/4616387-1.html Jonathan Cohen at allbusiness.com https://web.archive.org/web/20071105190233/http://www.allbusiness.com/retail-trade/miscellaneous-retail-retail-stores-not/4616387-1.html 2007-11-05 25 April 2011 live Year Single Chart Peak position 1968 "1, 2, 3, Red Light" Canada RPM Top Singles1 1968 "1, 2, 3, Red Light" New Zealand (Listener)flavour of new zealand - search listener http://www.flavourofnz.co.nz/index.php?qpageID=search%20listener&qartistid=682#n_view_location 2022-09-27 www.flavourofnz.co.nz https://web.archive.org/web/20160810043858/http://www.flavourofnz.co.nz/index.php?qpageID=search%20listener&qartistid=682#n_view_location 10 August 2016 live3 1968 "1, 2, 3, Red Light" South Africa Springbok Top 20Samson John South African Charts 1969-1989: Artists (0-9) http://www.rock.co.za/files/springbok_top_20_(1).html#gsc.tab=0 rock.co.za 28 September 2022 October 20002 1968 "1, 2, 3, Red Light" US Billboard Hot 100https://www.billboard.com/charts/hot-100/1968-09-14/ Billboard Hot 100 14 September 1968 Billboard 7 July 20255 1968 "1, 2, 3, Red Light" US Cashbox Top 1003 Releases Album BDS 5022 http://www.bsnpubs.com/buddah/buddaha.html Patrice Eyries/David Edwards/Mike Callahan bsnpubs.com 25 April 2011 https://web.archive.org/web/20110604225814/http://www.bsnpubs.com/buddah/buddaha.html 4 June 2011 live Singles BDA 54 7" (July 1968)http://www.discogs.com/1910-Fruitgum-Company-1-2-3-Red-Light-Stinky-Stinky/release/1321608 1, 2, 3, Red Light Singles 1968 discogs.com 25 April 2011http://therecordroom.com/Catalog/albumdetails/album16210.html 1, 2, 3, Red Light Singles therecordroom.com 25 April 2011 https://web.archive.org/web/20110717024113/http://therecordroom.com/Catalog/albumdetails/album16210.html 17 July 2011 live "1, 2, 3, Red Light" (Sal Trimachi/Bobbi Trimachi) – 1:55 "Sticky, Sticky" (Jerry Kasenetz/Jeff Katz) – 2:05 References 2 Category:1968 albums Category:1910 Fruitgum Company albums Category:Buddah Records albums Category:Albums produced by Super K Productions
