The 1734 Tradition is a form of traditional witchcraft founded by the American Joseph Bearwalker Wilson in 1973, after developing it since 1964. It is largely based upon the teachings he received from an English traditional witch named Robert Cochrane, the founder of Cochrane's Craft, and from Ruth Wynn-Owen, whom he called the matriarch of Y Plant Bran ("the child of Bran").Adler Margot Drawing Down the Moon: Witches, Druids, Goddess-Worshippers, and Other Pagans in America https://books.google.com/books?id=znADodo1SN4C&pg=PT126 5 August 2012 2006 Penguin 9781101549766 126Bramshaw Vikki Craft of the Wise: A Practical Guide to Paganism and Witchcraft https://books.google.com/books?id=K42r6blWAdEC&pg=PA39 5 August 2012 2009 O Books 9781846942327 39–
