The party was allocated seven pledged delegates to presidential candidates on March 8 during the Wyoming Democratic County Caucuses. The remaining five pledged delegates were allocated on May 24 during the Wyoming Democratic State Convention. There were six Wyoming superdelegates, so the whole delegation was composed of 18 delegates. Process The Wyoming caucus were open to all eligible voters who were registered as Democrats by February 22, 2008. A 15 percent threshold was required in order to receive delegates at any caucus site.http://www.wyomingdemocrats.com/ht/d/sp/i/1015876/pid/1015876 Welcome to the Wyoming Democratic Party! 2008-03-09 https://web.archive.org/web/20080310090247/http://www.wyomingdemocrats.com/ht/d/sp/i/1015876/pid/1015876 2008-03-10 dead Rather than the traditional caucus format, most sites used secret ballots which were then counted and delegates apportioned, without re-caucusing of nonviable groups.https://www.nytimes.com/2008/03/09/us/politics/09wyoming.html?_r=1&hp&oref=slogin The New York Times Obama Wins Wyoming Caucuses Julie Bosman March 9, 2008 Results Results of the 2008 Democratic Party presidential primaries County caucuses Caucus date: March 8, 2008 National pledged delegates determined: 12 2008 Wyoming Democratic presidential county caucuseshttp://www.wyomingdemocrats.com/ht/a/GetDocumentAction/i/1144780 WY Election Results 2008-03-08 2008-03-08 PDF Wyoming Democratic Party 2008-03-08 https://web.archive.org/web/20080308185144/http://www.wyomingdemocrats.com/ht/a/GetDocumentAction/i/1144780 dead CandidateVotesPercentageDistrict Delegateshttp://www.thegreenpapers.com/P08/WY-D.phtml Richard E.
