The race was held on Saturday, October 3, 2015, in North Las Vegas, Nevada at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, a 1.5 mi (2.4 km) permanent tri-oval shaped racetrack. The race took the scheduled 146 laps to complete. John Wes Townley, driving for family-owned Athenian Motorsports, would take the upset win after taking the lead with five laps to go, and survived on fuel mileage to earn his first career NASCAR Camping World Truck Series win, and his only career win in NASCAR.
