"10 Out of 10" (10점 만점에 10점 Sipjeom manjeome sipjeom) is the debut single by South Korean boy band 2PM. It is the lead single of the group's debut single album, Hottest Time of the Day, released on August 29, 2008 via JYP Entertainment. Background "10 Out of 10" is a hip-hop song composed and written by Park Jin-young, running 3 minutes and 27 seconds in length. The song is about an attractive woman, who is considered a "10 out of 10". The song describes various aspects of her that are considered "10 points". As 2PM's debut track, the song was composed with the intent to showcase a unique side to the group contrasting with other boy groups at the time. The choreography of the song incorporates acrobatics and breakdancing, hallmarks of 2PM's early signature style. The "369±1" Rule for Boy Idol Groups https://h21.hani.co.kr/arti/culture/culture_general/29002.html https://web.archive.org/web/20250918175552/https://h21.hani.co.kr/arti/culture/culture_general/29002.html 2025-09-18 The Hankyoreh koJuly 16, 2021 ko:짐승돌 투피엠 연대기 Beastly Idol 2PM Chronicles https://www.gqkorea.co.kr/2021/07/16/%EC%A7%90%EC%8A%B9%EB%8F%8C-%ED%88%AC%ED%94%BC%EC%97%A0-%EC%97%B0%EB%8C%80%EA%B8%B0/ https://web.archive.org/web/20250918180241/https://www.gqkorea.co.kr/2021/07/16/%EC%A7%90%EC%8A%B9%EB%8F%8C-%ED%88%AC%ED%94%BC%EC%97%A0-%EC%97%B0%EB%8C%80%EA%B8%B0/ 2025-09-18 GQ Korea ko The group made their debut live performance on September 4, 2008 with a performance of the song on Mnet's music program M Countdown.September 4, 2008 '10점 만점에 10점' 2PM '엠카운트다운'으로 가요계 신고식 https://www.hankyung.com/life/article/2008090402487 live https://web.archive.org/web/20230408183123/https://www.hankyung.com/life/article/2008090402487 April 8, 2023 January 20, 2021 The Korea Economic Daily ko The track would later be included in 2PM's first studio album, 01:59PM, released on November 10, 2009.1:59PM https://music.apple.com/us/album/1-59pm/1689323904 Apple Music Another version of the song was recorded without former 2PM member Jaebeom's vocals to be included in the 2012 compilation album 2PM Member's Selection.2PM Member's Selection https://www.melon.com/album/detail.htm?albumId=2124551 Melon Music video The teaser for the music video was released on August 26, 2008. ko:'박진영 야심작' 2PM, 티져영상 공개 '하반기 인기찜' 'Park Jin-young's ambitious work' 2PM, teaser video released https://entertain.naver.com/read?oid=015&aid=0001996712 https://web.archive.org/web/20250918180220/https://m.entertain.naver.com/home/article/015/0001996712 2025-09-18 January 28, 2022 The Korea Economic Daily ko August 27, 2008 The music video, directed by Jang Jae-hyuk, was released on August 29 on South Korean music websites.Lee Jung-ah August 29, 2008 2PM, 감각적인 스타일로 인기몰이 2PM, popular with sensual style https://entertain.naver.com/read?oid=109&aid=0001976717 https://web.archive.org/web/20250918180402/https://m.entertain.naver.com/home/article/109/0001976717 2025-09-18 January 28, 2022 OSEN ko The video starts with a woman, played by G.NA, pulling up and exiting a car. The remainder of the video intersperses scenes of the group dancing with scenes showing their interest in the woman. The dancing scenes take place in a reflective stage, with a crystal-like background. Some scenes use humor to illustrate the band's fantasies or delusions about the woman. For example, at one point Wooyoung is initially eating whipped cream off the woman's finger; however, a later scene shows the owner of the finger to actually be Jun. K. Another scene shows Junho playing with Taecyeon at the pool, until he realizes Taecyeon is not the woman. Near the end of the video, the members of 2PM look on with disappointment as the woman walks away with a different man, possibly her boyfriend. The end of the video features a cameo by labelmate and Wonder Girls member Yubin, whom the members of 2PM begin chasing after. live https://ghostarchive.org/varchive/youtube/20211211/YEmRoYV8vMs December 11, 2021 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YEmRoYV8vMs 2PM "10 out of 10(10점 만점에 10점)" M/V YouTube Another music video filmed in a white set showcasing the choreography of the song was released on October 13, 2008.
