The team decided not to participate in the UEFA Intertoto Cup which would make preparations for the new season harder than usual, as happened two years ago. To prepare for the Season, NK Osijek played a few friendly matches against 1. FC Kaiserslautern and FC Fehérvár to name a few. The new season will start with the same manager as last year, and with just Milan Pavličić sold from last years starting eleven. As the club's youth academy is one of the best in this part of Europe, several young players are drafted into the first team squad. The club finished the season in seventh place in the league standings.https://www.rsssf.org/tablesk/kroa09.html Croatia 2008/09 RSSSF 26 August 2026 Kit Legea Croatia Osiguranje | none center _blueshoulders _bluestripeonright FFFFFF FFFFFF FFFFFF 093E96 FFFFFF Home | none center _whiteshoulders _whitestripeonright 093E96 093E96 093E96 FFFFFF 093E96 Away August 2012 Player statistics Shirt No.PlayerApps (Subs)GoalsYC 10pxRC 10px1 CRO Marin Skender 6 0 0 02 CRO Dino Gavrić 4 (2) 0 2 03 CRO Jurica Pranjić 0 0 0 04 CRO Damir Vuica 0 0 0 05 CRO Matej Vlaović 0 0 0 06 CRO Tomislav Višević 5 0 3 07 CRO Vedran Nikšić 0 0 0 08 BIH Aleksandar Šolić 4 (2) 0 0 09 CRO Karlo Primorac 6 2 0 010 CRO Josip Knežević 2 (3) 1 1 011 CRO Antonio Hrnčević 3 (4) 0 1 012 CRO Filip Šušnjara 0 0 0 013 CRO Slobodan Stranatić 6 0 1 014 CRO Ivica Lončarević 0 0 0 015 CRO Marko Prskalo 0 0 0 016 MKD Goran Todorčev 1 (1) 0 1 017 CRO Vedran Jugović 5 0 2 018 CRO Tomislav Šorša 1 0 0 019 CRO Domagoj Vida 6 0 2 020 PAR Diego Barrios 0 0 0 021 CRO Igor Prijić 0 (2) 1 1 022 CRO Valentin Babić 6 3 3 023 CRO Srđan Vidaković 0 0 0 024 CRO Ivo Smoje 6 0 2 025 CRO Davor Pajić 0 0 0 026 CRO Ivan Miličević 3 (3) 2 1 027 BRA Andre Luiz 0 0 0 028 CRO Domagoj Pušić 0 (1) 0 0 029 CRO Josip Barišić 0 0 0 030 CRO Ivan Kardum 0 0 0 031 CRO Ivan Vargić 0 0 0 0 CRO Mile Škorić 2 (2) 0 1 033 CRO Alen Milošević 7 (3) 5 3 0 Matches Prva HNL 2008–09 Croatian First Football League 27 July 2008 20:00 1 Croatia Sesvete 1–1 NK Osijek Petrović 71 pen.
