Due to an ineligible player taking part in Men's SBL qualifying games, the Willetton Tigers were deemed to have forfeited three games that were won across June and July. In rounds thirteen to nineteen, the Tigers suited up a player for a total of seven games and failed to lodge a contract, player registration and proof of citizenship which are all documents required by the league before a player is eligible to play. As a result, they were dropped from a 12–13 record to 9–16 heading into the final round.http://websites.sportstg.com/assoc_page.cgi?c=1-5011-0-444185-0&sID=78732&&news_task=DETAIL&articleID=20064371 Willetton men lose premiership points SportsTG.com 28 July 2012 live https://web.archive.org/web/20190618121238/http://websites.sportstg.com/assoc_page.cgi?c=1-5011-0-444185-0&sID=78732&&news_task=DETAIL&articleID=20064371 18 June 2019 Similarly, due to an ineligible player taking part in a Women's SBL qualifying game, the South West Slammers were deemed to have forfeited a round sixteen victory against the Wanneroo Wolves after they suited up a development player but failed to lodge a contract, player registration and proof of citizenship.Stuart Riley https://thewest.com.au/news/south-west/slammers-dunked-after-admin-gaffe-ng-ya-305692 Slammers dunked after admin gaffe TheWest.com.au Bunbury Herald 24 July 2012 live https://web.archive.org/web/20190619071927/http://thewest.com.au/news/south-west/slammers-dunked-after-admin-gaffe-ng-ya-305692 19 June 2019 Standings Men's ladder Pos Position Team W Games won L Games lost1Wanneroo Wolves 23 32Lakeside Lightning 22 43Cockburn Cougars 17 94East Perth Eagles 16 105Mandurah Magic 16 106Perth Redbacks 15 117Goldfields Giants 13 138Kalamunda Eastern Suns 12 14 9Geraldton Buccaneers 12 1410Perry Lakes Hawks 11 1511Willetton Tigers 10 1612Stirling Senators 8 1813Rockingham Flames 4 2214South West Slammers 3 23 Women's ladder Pos Position Team W Games won L Games lost1Wanneroo Wolves 16 62Willetton Tigers 16 63South West Slammers 15 74Rockingham Flames 15 75Kalamunda Eastern Suns 15 76Perth Redbacks 13 97Lakeside Lightning 12 108East Perth Eagles 10 12 9Perry Lakes Hawks 9 1310Cockburn Cougars 5 1711Stirling Senators 4 1812Mandurah Magic 2 20 Finals The finals began on Friday 3 August and consisted of three rounds.
