Weber was drawn as the top seed, which included the right to host at Wildcat Gym in Ogden, Utah. At this time, both Weber and Boise still played in small gymnasiums, while ISU's Minidome had about triple the seating capacity of the others; Boise State upset the host in the final. For a second consecutive year, junior center Steve Hayes was named to the all-conference team, joined by junior forward Greg Griffin; junior guard Ed Thompson was on the second team. Hayes was a unanimous selection.https://news.google.com/newspapers?id=2pBfAAAAIBAJ&sjid=pzAMAAAAIBAJ&pg=2843%2C602981 Lewiston Morning Tribune Idaho Associated Press Trio tops Big Sky all-star team March 3, 1976 2Bhttps://news.google.com/newspapers?id=u6QqAAAAIBAJ&sjid=vVsEAAAAIBAJ&pg=6933%2C293958 Deseret News Salt Lake City, Utah UPI Watts gets 'Sky honor for 3rd year March 2, 1976 B6https://news.google.com/newspapers?id=6flLAAAAIBAJ&sjid=0fgDAAAAIBAJ&pg=4362%2C344025 Spokane Daily Chronicle Washington Associated Press Gonzaga's Jim Grady 2nd-team Sky choice March 2, 1976 20 Postseason results yes no |- !colspan=5 style=Idaho State Bengals| Big Sky tournament Fri, March 5 9:00 pm yes no Boise State Wildcat Gym Ogden, Utah Semifinal 81–93 16–11 4,411 no AP poll Mountain time References 2 External links Sports Reference – Idaho State Bengals – 1975–76 basketball season Category:Idaho State Bengals men's basketball seasons Idaho State Idaho State Idaho State
