Following the round robin portion, both Team Ontario (Alison Goring, Kristin Holman, Cheryl McPherson, Lynda Armstrong) and Team British Columbia (Sandra Plut, Sandra Rainey, Leigh Fraser, Debra Fowles) finished tied for first with identical 8–2 records. This forced a playoff tiebreaker between the two rinks to decide the champion. In the playoff, British Columbia was forced to one in the first, which was followed by Ontario blanking the next two ends. BC stole one in the fourth thanks to Ontario not being able to find their draw weight. BC stole another three in the fifth end to take a 5–0 lead, which put the game out of reach, and went on to win the game 6–3.B.C. girls win junior curling title March 20, 1982 100 Montreal Gazette https://www.newspapers.com/article/the-gazette/168963627/ March 27, 2025 Round robin standings Final standingsCanadian Junior Women's Curling Championship March 19, 1982 22 Regina Leader-Post https://www.newspapers.com/article/the-leader-post/194856456/ April 4, 2026 KeyTeams to Tiebreaker TeamSkipBonars put Deloraine on map March 13, 1982 24 Regina Leader-Post https://www.newspapers.com/article/the-leader-post/194854305/ April 4, 2026LocaleSwedish rink coasting, U.S. overcomes Canada March 17, 1982 65 Saskatoon Star-Phoenix https://www.newspapers.com/article/star-phoenix/194855002/ April 4, 2026Ontario alone with perfect record March 15, 1982 27 Regina Leader-Post https://www.newspapers.com/article/the-leader-post/194855120/ April 4, 2026WL Alison Goring Toronto 8 2 Sandra Plut Kamloops 8 2 Debbie Wark Montreal 6 4 Maureen Bonar Deloraine 6 4 Jennifer Buchanan Edmonton 6 4 Penny Samoleski Nipawin 5 5 Cindy Crocker Labrador City 4 6 Denise Pelrine Moncton 4 6 Denise Colwell Whitehorse 3 7 Heather Mader Charlottetown 3 7 Jennifer Jones Halifax 2 8 Tiebreaker March 19Canadian Junior Women's Curling Championship March 20, 1982 28 Regina Leader-Post https://www.newspapers.com/article/the-leader-post/194856700/ April 4, 2026 (Goring) 0 0 0 0 0 1 0 1 1 X 3 (Plut) 1 0 0 1 3 0 1 0 0 X 6 References Canadian Junior Curling Championships Category:Curling competitions in Winnipeg Category:Canadian Junior Curling Championships Category:1982 in sports in Manitoba Category:March 1982 sports events in Canada Category:1980s in Winnipeg
