Including the history of the original conference, it was the 18th edition of the Big East tournament. Held from November 15–17 at PPL Park in Chester, Pennsylvania, it determined the Big East Conference champion, and the automatic berth into the 2013 NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship. The defending champions, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, left the original Big East at the time of the conference split to join the Atlantic Coast Conference. The tournament was won by the Marquette Golden Eagles who defeated the Providence Friars in the Big East final.http://www.bigeast.com/sports/m-soccer/archive/bige-m-soccer-archive.html BIGEAST.COM - The Official Website of the BIG EAST Conference - Men's Soccer 2014-11-08 https://web.archive.org/web/20141201235215/http://www.bigeast.com/sports/m-soccer/archive/bige-m-soccer-archive.html 2014-12-01 dead Bracket First Round Semifinals Championship 3 Xavier 0 6 Butler 1 4 Providence 2 5 Creighton 1 2 Marquette 1 6 Butler 0 1 Georgetown 0(4) 4 Providence (pen.) 0(5) 2 Marquette 3 4 Providence 2 Schedule First round November 12, 2013 17:00 ET #3 Xavier 0–1 Report #6 Butler Goldsmith 29 XU Soccer Complex Cincinnati, Ohio 431 Khalaf Al-Latayfeh November 12, 2013 17:00 ET #4 Providence 2–1 Report #5 Creighton Arboleda 45Machado 64 DeJulio 87 XU Soccer Complex Providence, Rhode Island 210 Erich Simmons Semifinals November 15, 2013 17:00 ET #1 Georgetown 0–0 yes Report #4 Providence Yaro 37Rudy 85 Machando 34Andrade 37 4–5 Neumann Muyl Allen Padilla Helfrich Yaro Steeves Gressel Baumann Naglestad Arboleda Ballenthin PPL Park Chester, Pennsylvania 563 Bill Dittmar November 15, 2013 19:30 ET #2 Marquette 1–0 yes Report #6 Butler Wahl 87Lysak 98 PPL Park Chester, Pennsylvania 563 Craig Lowry Big East Championship November 17, 2013 13:00 ET #2 Marquette 3–2 Report #4 Providence Jansson 34Parianos 37Lysak 59 70 Alder 38Towler 59Andrade 67Steeves 87 90 PPL Park Chester, Pennsylvania 506 Hayden Cust Statistical leaders November 2013 See also Atlantic 10 Conference 2013 Atlantic 10 Conference men's soccer season 2013 NCAA Division I men's soccer season 2013 NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship References * 2013
