Ultimately, they finished 7th out of 14 teams. The team commenced the new season with Tony Vržina at the helm, having retained his position as coach from the previous year, but a poor streak of results prompted a coaching change, with assistant Steve Watson assuming the role from Round 19 onwards. Despite showing improvement in their results, heavy home losses to Sunshine George Cross and St George-Budapest saw Sydney Croatia fail to secure a spot in the final series for the third consecutive season.
