Cambodia once again declined to host this edition of the games, as it did in 1963. This was Thailand's second time hosting the Southeast Asian Games, and its first time since the 1959 inaugural games. The games was opened and closed by Bhumibol Adulyadej, the King of Thailand at the Suphachalasai Stadium. The final medal tally was led by host Thailand, followed by Singapore and Malaysia.Percy Seneviratne (1993) Golden Moments: the S.E.A Games 1959–1991 Dominie Press, Singapore 981-00-4597-2 The games Participating nations 22em Burma 1948 Laos 1952 South Vietnam (host) Sports 22em Aquatics Athletics Badminton Basketball Boxing Cycling Football Judo Rugby Shooting Sepak takraw Sailing Table tennis Tennis Volleyball Weightlifting Medal table http://www.ocasia.org/game/MWinner.aspx?CntbEpEabMQZMCclJBU9KfIeXT1sBvVt Medal Tally 27 October 2016 https://web.archive.org/web/20161028021544/http://www.ocasia.org/game/MWinner.aspx?CntbEpEabMQZMCclJBU9KfIeXT1sBvVt 28 October 2016 dead Key THA flagIOC2team 77 48 47 yes THA 1967 Southeast Asian Peninsular Games 28 31 28 SIN 1967 Southeast Asian Peninsular Games 23 29 43 MAS 1967 Southeast Asian Peninsular Games 11 26 32 BIR 1967 Southeast Asian Peninsular Games 6 10 17 VIE 1967 Southeast Asian Peninsular Games 0 0 3 LAO 1967 Southeast Asian Peninsular Games References External links History of the SEA Games Medal Tally 1959-1995 Medal Tally OCA SEA Games SEA Games previous medal table SEAGF Office SEA Games members Southeast Asian Peninsular GamesBangkok Kuala Lumpur Rangoon IV Southeast Asian Peninsular Games (1967) Category:1960s in sport in Bangkok Category:1967 in Bangkok Southeast Asian Peninsular Games Southeast Asian Peninsular Games Southeast Asian Peninsular Games Category:SEA Games in Thailand Category:SEA Games by year Southeast Asian Peninsular Games Category:1967 SEAP Games
