The post-season began in February 1996 and concluded in April 1996. The Durham Thundercats won the Sr. "AA" championship, defeating the Lakeshore Winterhawks in six games. The Tiverton Thunder folded. The Goderich Pirates joined the league as an expansion team in the Senior "A" division.
