The event was held at the Sydney Motorsport Park in Sydney, New South Wales, and consisted of two sprint races, each over a distance of 60 km 0 off and one endurance race over a distance of 200 km 0 off. It was the eighth round of fourteen in the 2015 International V8 Supercars Championship.
