1920 Nepal Census 1911 1911 Nepal census 1920 1930 1930 Nepal census Nepal 5,573,788 -1.15%
The 1920 Nepal census was the second national census of Nepal. It was conducted 9 years after the first census. It recorded a total population of 5,573,788.https://nepal.unfpa.org/sites/default/files/pub-pdf/PopulationMonograph2014Volume1.pdf POPULATION MONOGRAPH OF NEPAL VOLUME I (Population Dynamics) Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Nepal 2014 978-9937-2-8971-9
The census showed the decline in population compared to the previous census. The decrease in population has been attributed to the 1918–1920 influenza pandemic and the deaths of Nepali soldiers who fought from the British side during First World War.https://censusnepal.cbs.gov.np/results/files/main-part-janaganana/janaganana.pdf नेपालमा जनगणना National Statistics Office (NSO), Nepal ne Census in Nepal https://web.archive.org/web/20230714165804/https://censusnepal.cbs.gov.np/results/files/main-part-janaganana/janaganana.pdf 2023-07-14 live
