I can't remember exactly what tracks I played on but I think it's the majority of them. I think VMan played on five or six of the tunes and I played on all the rest. "Did Donnie Steele play bass?" He did but there were certain songs that Greg Fidelman [producer] didn't want him to play on. You know that liquid thing and that fluid vibe thing we were talking about? Fidelman wasn't quite sure that Vman had that for us yet. He definitely has the technical ability but there's something more to it that needs to be Slipknot. Since most of the arrangements were written by me anyways, he felt more confident with me playing those parts so they'd be closer to the vibe of what the demos were. dead https://web.archive.org/web/20151104120841/http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/interviews/interviews/jim_root_seems_like_stone_sour_cant_even_write_a_new_record_they_lost_a_good_writer.html?no_takeover November 4, 2015 Chris Fehn – percussion, backing vocals Sid Wilson – turntables Alessandro "Vman" Venturella – bass Jay Weinberg – drums Additional musician Donnie Steele – bass Production Slipknot – production Greg Fidelman – production, mixing on "XIX" and "Be Prepared For Hell" Joe Barresi – mixing Jim Monti – recording Greg Gordon – recording Sara Lyn Killion — recording Geoff Neal – assistant engineer Chris Claypool – assistant engineer Marcus Johnson – assistant engineer Evin O'Cleary – assistant engineer Vlado Meller – mastering Jeremy Lubsey – mastering assistant Artwork Shawn Crahan – art direction, photography The Uprising Creative – design, layout Charts Weekly charts + Weekly chart performance for .5 The Gray Chapter Chart (2014) PeakpositionAustralia 1 Slipknot .5: The Gray Chapter October 25, 2014 trueAustria 2 Slipknot .5: The Gray Chapter October 25, 2014 trueFlanders 12 Slipknot .5: The Gray Chapter October 25, 2014 trueWallonia 13 Slipknot .5: The Gray Chapter October 25, 2014 trueBillboardCanada 1 Slipknot .5: The Gray Chapter October 25, 2014 trueDenmark 5 Slipknot .5: The Gray Chapter October 25, 2014 trueNetherlands 13 Slipknot .5: The Gray Chapter October 25, 2014 trueFinland 4 Slipknot .5: The Gray Chapter October 25, 2014 trueFrance 8 Slipknot .5: The Gray Chapter October 30, 2014 trueGermany 2 Slipknot .5: The Gray Chapter 257906 October 25, 2014 trueHungary 3 2014 43 Slipknot .5: The Gray Chapter October 30, 2014 trueIreland 4 2014 43 Slipknot .5: The Gray Chapter July 29, 2022 trueItaly 6 Slipknot .5: The Gray Chapter October 30, 2014 true Japanese Albums (Oricon)https://www.oricon.co.jp/prof/97082/products/1095986/1/ .5:ザ・グレイ・チャプター【2CDスペシャル・エディション】 スリップノット .5: The Gray Chapter (2CD Special Edition) Slipknot Oricon ja October 27, 2014 1New Zealand 2 Slipknot .5: The Gray Chapter October 25, 2014 trueNorway 4 Slipknot .5: The Gray Chapter October 31, 2014 truePoland 29 893 true October 31, 2014Portugal 9 Slipknot .5: The Gray Chapter October 25, 2014 trueScotland 3 20141026 true October 28, 2021Spain 17 Slipknot .5: The Gray Chapter October 25, 2014 trueSweden 3 Slipknot .5: The Gray Chapter October 25, 2014 trueSwitzerland 1 Slipknot .5: The Gray Chapter October 25, 2014 trueUK2 2 20141026 October 26, 2014 trueUKRock 1 20141026 February 25, 2022 trueBillboard200 1 Slipknot .5: The Gray Chapter October 25, 2014 trueBillboardHardRock 1 Slipknot .5: The Gray Chapter October 25, 2014 trueBillboardRock 1 Slipknot .5: The Gray Chapter October 25, 2014 true Year-end charts + Year-end chart performance for .5 The Gray Chapter Chart (2014) Position Australian Albums (ARIA)https://www.aria.com.au/charts/2014/albums-chart ARIA Top 100 Albums for 2014 Australian Recording Industry Association January 7, 2015 55 Austrian Albums (Ö3 Austria)https://austriancharts.at/year.asp?cat=a&id=2014 Jahreshitparade Alben 2014 austriancharts.at de June 28, 2020 55 Belgian Albums (Ultratop Flanders)https://www.ultratop.be/nl/annual.asp?year=2014&cat=a Jaaroverzichten 2014 -
