In the 2009 season, Athletica had traded their 2011 first-round draft pick to the Los Angeles Sol, which subsequently had dissolved. Unlike the Sol's players, the Sol's draft picks had not been dispersed to the other teams, so the draft pick's ownership was unknown. The league approved the trade the following day.June 2023 Trotter appeared for Sky Blue that weekend, though Asante and Washington were not ready to play for Athletica. To make room for the English international, Athletica waived Brazilian player Daniela.June 2023 Regular season Matches 1 2010 04 11 2–0 ReportBox Saint Louis Athletica Aluko 40 Boxx 62 Boxx Boxx 55 FC Gold Pride Edwards 72 Anheuser-Busch Soccer Park Fenton, Missouri 3,356 Jennifer Bennett D 2 2010 04 17 1–1 ReportBox Chicago Red Stars Nogueira 60 Chapman Saint Louis Athletica Chalupny 5 Elaine 27 Boxx 73 Toyota Park Bridgeview, Illinois 5,134 Kari Seitz D 3 2010 04 25 1–1 ReportBox Saint Louis Athletica Blank 28 Ellertson Boston Breakers Moore 22 Lilly Cheney 45+ Anheuser-Busch Soccer Park Fenton, Missouri 3,300 Felisha Mariscal D 4 2010 05 01 3–1 Box Washington Freedom Bompastor 20 Wambach Sawa 47 Bompastor Mykjaland 74 Wambach Saint Louis Athletica Aluko 45+1 Chalupny RFK Memorial Stadium Washington, D.C. 8,261 Kari Seitz L 5 2010 05 08 2–1 Box Saint Louis Athletica Falk 41 o.g.
