League table y STP Results Pre-season friendlies Stockport County opted not to name players on trial who played in friendlies, following other clubs chasing Belgian striker Esteban Casagolda after he scored twice in a behind-closed-doors friendly. Hence a number of goals were listed as scored by 'trialist'. As Edgeley Park is owned by Sale Sharks, problems with the pitch have arisen from having both football and Rugby Union on the same surface. Consequently, Stockport played their 'home' friendly against Inverness Caledonian Thistle at Wincham Park, home of Witton Albion. 2010 07 20 y 19:30 Northwich Victoria 0–5 Report Stockport County Swailes 8Poole 11Tansey 30 pen.trialist 75Partridge 77 Victoria Stadium, Northwich W 2010 07 24 y 15:00 Skelmersdale United 0–3 Report Stockport County Conlon 7 pen.trialist 19Turnbull 40 Stormy Corner, Skelmersdale W 2010 07 26 y 19:30 Stockport County 0–1 Report Inverness Caledonian Thistle Sutherland 80 Wincham Park, Northwich 329 L 2010 07 28 y 19:30 Woodley Sports 1–0 Report Stockport County Clarke 32 Lambeth Grove, Stockport L 2010 07 31 y 15:00 Glossop North End 0–3 Report Stockport County Donnelly 43Conlon 70 pen.Poole 85 Surrey Street, Glossop 458 W Football League Two 7 August 2010 1 15:00 Southend United 1–1 Stockport County Sturrock 90 Donnelly 83 Roots Hall 5,589 D Report 14 August 2010 2 15:00 Stockport County 0–0 Wycombe Wanderers Edgeley Park 3,837 D Report 21 August 2010 3 15:00 Stevenage 3–1 Stockport County Griffin 29 71 Bostwick 43 Donnelly 90 Broadhall Way 2,726 L 28 August 2010 4 15:00 Stockport County 0–4 Shrewsbury Town Robinson 41 Harrold 58 Wright 63 82 Edgeley Park 4,350 L 4 September 2010 5 15:00 Macclesfield Town 0–2 Stockport County Donnelly 45 Assoumani 59 Moss Rose 3,683 W 11 September 2010 6 15:00 Stockport County 1–1 Bradford City Donnelly 78 Syers 56 Edgeley Park 4,277 D 18 September 2010 7 15:00 Oxford United 0–1 Stockport County Donnelly 41 Kassam Stadium 7,033 W 25 September 2010 8 15:00 Stockport County 2–2 Aldershot Town Turnbull 73 82 Straker 27 M.
