This was held on the same day as other local elections. One third of the 33 seats were up for election, with one councillor in each of the 11 wards being elected. As the previous election in 2007 had been an all-out election with new ward boundaries, the seats of the candidates that had finished third in each ward in 2006 were up for election. The Conservative Party retained control of the council.http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/shared/bsp/hi/elections/local_council/08/html/32ud.stm/18uc.stm Elections 2008 BBC NewsSeptember 2025 medicmedichttp://researchbriefings.files.parliament.uk/documents/RP08-48/RP08-48.pdf Local elections 2008 House of Commons Library 17 12 June 2008 Election result 2008 Lincoln local election result Conservative Party (UK) 7 1 0 1 63.6 44.5 8,797 Labour Party (UK) 3 0 1 1 27.3 32.6 6,454 Liberal Democrats (UK) 1 0 0 9.1 14.8 2,924 British National Party 0 0 0 0.0 5.6 1,106 Independent (politician) 0 0 0 0.0 1.0 188 UKIP 0 0 0 0.0 0.9 187 Socialist Party (England and Wales) 0 0 0 0.0 0.6 127 |- | colspan=2 style="text-align: right; margin-right: 1em" | Total | style="text-align: right;" | 11 | colspan=5 | | style="text-align: right;" | 19,783 | style="text-align: right;" | Ward results Abbey thumb|Location of Abbey ward Abbeyhttps://drive.google.com/file/d/0BwA-5RleSBydZzlQOWxTRW9TNFE/view City of Lincoln Council Election Results 1973-2012 Elections Centre 29 October 2019 Labour Party (UK) Kath Brothwell 657 40.0% Conservative Party (UK) Cordelia McCartney 625 38.1% Liberal Democrats (UK) Heather Cullen 259 15.8% UKIP Carol Pearson 101 6.2% 32 1.9% 1,642 25.2% Labour Party (UK) Birchwood thumb|Location of Birchwood ward Birchwood Conservative Party (UK) John Metcalfe 740 43.5% Labour Party (UK) Stephen Allnutt 464 27.2% Independent (politician) Jack Humphries 188 11.0% British National Party Philip Marshall 183 10.7% Liberal Democrats (UK) George Richardson 128 7.5% 276 16.3% 1,703 30.0% Conservative Party (UK) Boultham thumb|Location of Boultham ward Boultham Labour Party (UK) Richard Coupland 667 35.4% Conservative Party (UK) Andrew Bradley 655 34.8% British National Party Colin Westcott 342 18.2% Liberal Democrats (UK) Ross Pepper 218 11.6% 12 0.6% 1,882 33.5% Labour Party (UK) Bracebridge thumb|Location of Bracebridge ward Bracebridge Conservative Party (UK) Marc Jones 1,126 60.1% Labour Party (UK) David Rimmington 517 27.6% British National Party Dean Lowther 230 12.3% 609 32.5% 1,873 32.6% Conservative Party (UK) Carholme thumb|Location of Carholme ward Carholme Liberal Democrats (UK) Helen Heath 852 41.9% Labour Party (UK) Malcolm Withers 547 26.9% Conservative Party (UK) Daniel Hutchinson 509 25.0% Socialist Party (England and Wales) Nick Parker 127 6.2% 305 15.0% 2,035 30.6% Liberal Democrats (UK) Castle thumb|Location of Castle ward Castle Conservative Party (UK) Alister Williams 783 43.3% Labour Party (UK) Rachel Taylor 699 38.6% Liberal Democrats (UK) Charles Shaw 327 18.1% 84 4.7% 1,809 32.3% Conservative Party (UK) Labour Party (UK) Glebe thumb|Location of Glebe ward Glebe Conservative Party (UK) David Denman 832 49.1% Labour Party (UK) Larry Wells 524 30.9% British National Party Alan Kirk 174 10.3% Liberal Democrats (UK) Stephen Morgan 166 9.8% 308 18.2% 1,696 31.2% Conservative Party (UK) Hartsholme thumb|Location of Hartsholme ward Hartsholme Conservative Party (UK) Andrew Kerry 1,212 65.5% Labour Party (UK) Tony Duncan 347 18.8% Liberal Democrats (UK) Lynn Pepper 291 15.7% 865 46.7% 1,850 34.5% Conservative Party (UK) Minster thumb|Location of Minster ward Minster Conservative Party (UK) Sandra Gratrick 1,093 52.0% Labour Party (UK) Judy Renshaw 769 36.6% Liberal Democrats (UK) Daphne Shaw 238 11.3% 324 15.4% 2,100 37.2% Conservative Party (UK) Moorland thumb|Location of Moorland ward Moorland Conservative Party (UK) Paul Grice 859 46.5% Labour Party (UK) Bob Bushell 646 34.9% British National Party Olivia Wolverson 177 9.6% Liberal Democrats (UK) Jenny Shaw 167 9.0% 213 11.6% 1,849 32.5% Conservative Party (UK) Park thumb|Location of Park ward Park Labour Party (UK) Brent Charlesworth 617 45.9% Conservative Party (UK) Sally Grice 363 27.0% Liberal Democrats (UK) Ryan Cullen 278 20.7% UKIP Steve Pearson 86 6.4% 254 18.9% 1,344 25.2% Labour Party (UK) References Lincoln 2008 Category:2000s in Lincolnshire
