Musical trend August 2021 The '80s remix describes a 21st century musical trend of remixing contemporary songs to give them production/instrumental qualities that are frequently associated with pop music of the 1980s. This trend has been associated with nostalgia for the 1980s musical scene, and a dislike for current musical trends. One of the pioneers of this genre is Canadian producer and YouTuber Tronicbox.
