Summary During the summer, Emilio Diez-Barroso, in his 15th season as club president and in his 5th year without a league title, reinforced the squad with several players such as: Forward Francois Omam Biyik,Diallo Raf Omam-Biyik: The man who stunned Argentina at Italia 90 https://www.rte.ie/sport/soccer/2020/0612/1147128-interview-omam-biyik-who-stunned-argentina/ 17 January 2022 RTE 15 June 2020 Right-back Defender Raul Gutierrez,Raúl Gutiérrez a cargo de Selección Olímpica http://www.goal.com/es-mx/news/4782/selecci%C3%B3n/2014/01/18/4553565/ra%C3%BAl-guti%C3%A9rrez-a-cargo-de-selecci%C3%B3n-ol%C3%ADmpica 18 January 2014 midfielders Joaquin del OlmoReal Oviedo. The transfer, led by Forward Cuauhtemoc Blanco, improved the performance and helped them reach first position on table resulting in the highest number in attendances to Azteca stadium in years.June 2026 Meanwhile, the squad could maintain the good streak during the first month of the year, in spite of four club players: Zague, Luis Garcia, Raul Gutierrez and Joaquin del Olmo were playing the 1995 King Fahd Cup from 1 January to 6 January. Owing to their participation in 1995 Pan American Games by young players Raul Lara, German Villa and Cuauhtemoc Blanco representing the national U-23 team, the offensive line was sinking from 10 March to 24 March, hence, the squad only clinched two draws against Toros Neza and archrivals CD Guadalajara despite being heavily favourites. In spite of having the best season performance and attendances since the 80s manager Leo Beenhakker was under pressure since January by both club vice president Rubolotta and President Diez Barrosso to line up Forward Luis Garcia recently transferred in from Real Sociedad with an infamous 1 year tenure without scoring a single league goal (since 1 May 1994 with Atletico Madrid). Meanwhile, the club and talented midfielder Joaquin del Olmo had contract issues due to a renewal for the next seasons the conflict escalated upon reached manager Beenhakker asked by the president Barroso to not line up Del Olmo against Puebla FC on April 5. However, the Dutch coach lined-up Del Olmo and was sacked by vice president Rubolotta the next day by 0730 hs at his home in Cuernavaca according to Beenhakker.https://www.mediotiempo.com/futbol/liga-mx/leo-beenhakker-revelo-por-que-salio-del-america mediotiempo.com es Beenhakker Confessed Why was Sacked by America 18 March 2010 2 August 2022 Editorial Finally, with Mirko Jozic as new manager the squad was eliminated in semifinalshttps://www.rsssf.org/tablesm/mex95.html Mexico 1994/95 Regular season en 24 April 2001 24 August 2022 RSSSF Erik Francisco Lugo, Martín Toscano and RSSSF 2003/20 for the third consecutive year losing the series against Cruz Azul.https://es-us.deportes.yahoo.com/leo-beenhakker-y-el-espectacular-america-que-no-gano-nada-165628195.html The Mighty Beenhakker's America which did not clinch a single trophy yahoo.com 5 July 2022 22 August 2022 Rodrigo Herrejon Chavez es Squad http://yalma.fime.uanl.mx/~futmx/MFL/Mex95/News/norte29my95b.html Club América » Squad 1994/1995 yalma.fime.uanl.mx 1 October 2022 1 Adrian Chavez GK MEX 2 Juan Hernandez DF MEX 3 Jose Enrique Rodon DF MEX 4 Luis Felipe Peña DF MEX 5 Guillermo Naranjo DF MEX 6 Raul Rodrigo Lara MF MEX 7 Marcelo Barticciotto MF ARG 8 Joaquin del Olmo MF MEX 9 François Omam-Biyik FW CMR 10 German Martellotto MF ARG 11 Pedro Pineda FW MEX 12 Alejandro García GK MEX 13 Edu Manga DF BRA 14 Francisco Uribe FW MEX 15 Rafael Bautista DF MEX 16 Kalusha Bwalya MF Zambia 17 Luís Roberto Alves FW MEX 18 Jean-Claude Pagal DF CMR 19 Ari Jair Fenoy FW MEX 20 Joaquín Hernández MF MEX 21 Raul Gutierrez DF MEX 22 German Villa MF MEX 23 Cuauhtemoc Blanco FW MEX 24 Ángel Maldonado GK MEX 25 Luis Garcia FW MEX 26 Oscar Eduardo Soto MF Chile 27 Branco DF BRA 45 Marco Capetillo DF MEX 42 Jorge Antonio Toledano DF MEX 46 Carlos Serafín Inda DF MEX Transfers In Pos.
