They competed in the NSWRFL's 1971 premiership. The Sharks also won the Endeavour Cup this year. The Endeavour Cup competition was only run for two years, it was a knockout competition involving the teams that didn't make the final five for that year. The trophy was recently found at the club thanks to a request from life member Andrew Downie. http://www.rugbyleagueproject.org/competitions/endeavour-cup/results.html The Rugby League Project Ladder TeamPldWDLPFPAPDPts1 16x16px Manly-Warringah221903528260+268382 16x16px South Sydney221705499308+191343 16x16px St. George221516392283+109314 16x16px Parramatta2212010383355+28245 16x16px Balmain2211011366398-32226 16x16px Canterbury-Bankstown2211011355422-87227 16x16px Cronulla-Sutherland2210012352310+42208 Penrith 16 Penrith2210012283372-89209 16x16px Eastern Suburbs229112344339+51910 16x16px Newtown227114282401-1191511 16x16px North Sydney225116265446-1811112 16x16px Western Suburbs224018336471-1358 References 30em 1971 Category:1971 in rugby league by club Category:1971 in sport in Sydney
