Americas Zone Group I 2006 Davis Cup Americas Zone Group I Draw Group II The Americas Zone was one of the three zones of the regional Davis Cup competition in 2006. In the Americas Zone there were four different tiers, called groups, in which teams compete against each other to advance to the upper tier. Winners in Group II advanced to the Americas Zone Group I. The seven remaining teams were split into two groups and played in a round-robin format. The top two teams of each group were promoted to the Europe/Africa Zone Group III in 2007. They were placed in the promotion pool to determine places 1–4. The remaining teams in each group from the preliminary round were placed in a second pool to determine places 5–7.
