The 2009 season was the 15th in franchise history. In September 2008, Knighthawks superstar John Grant, Jr. underwent emergency surgery on his left knee to remove an infection from his ACL.http://nll.com/article.php?id=3588 Grant To Miss 2009 Season NLL.com September 9, 2008 2008-10-21 The surgery meant that Grant would miss the entire 2009 season. To make up for the loss of their most potent scoring threat, the Knighthawks pulled an unexpected move: they traded forward Andrew Potter and two first round draft picks to the Colorado Mammoth for the rights to lacrosse legend Gary Gait, and convinced Gait to return to playing after a three-year retirement.http://nll.com/article.php?id=3615 Gary Gait Traded To Rochester October 15, 2008 2008-10-21 NLL.com https://web.archive.org/web/20081016093614/http://www.nll.com/article.php?id=3615 16 October 2008 dead Regular season Conference standings ROC Game log Reference:http://www.nll.com/page/show/432349-rochester-knighthawks?subseason=57523 Rochester Knighthawks – National Lacrosse League May 6, 2012 NLL.com https://archive.today/20120906002806/http://www.nll.com/page/show/432349-rochester-knighthawks?subseason=57523 September 6, 2012 dead mdy-allBlue Cross Arena 1/10/2009 Philadelphia Wings Philadelphia Wings 13 16 7422 1/16/2009 Buffalo Bandits HSBC Arena First Niagara Center 1 6 23 15494 1/18/2009 San Jose Stealth HP Pavilion at San Jose 1 6 16 3463 1/24/2009 New York Titans New York Titans (lacrosse) 7 8 6739 1/31/2009 Toronto Rock 13 11 7088 2/15/2009 New York Titans New York Titans (lacrosse) Madison Square Garden 1 9 15 5187 2/21/2009 New York Titans New York Titans (lacrosse) 15 7 7142 2/28/2009 Toronto Rock 18 10 6739 3/14/2009 Buffalo Bandits 15 14 1 9134 3/21/2009 Toronto Rock Air Canada Centre 1 10 16 14812 3/28/2009 Boston Blazers 11 10 7329 4/3/2009 Colorado Mammoth Pepsi Center 1 12 8 16834 4/4/2009 Calgary Roughnecks Pengrowth Saddledome Scotiabank Saddledome 1 9 12 10098 4/10/2009 Buffalo Bandits HSBC Arena First Niagara Center 1 9 13 17118 4/11/2009 Boston Blazers TD Banknorth Garden TD Garden 1 5 10 8097 4/18/2009 Philadelphia Wings Philadelphia Wings 11 8 8539 Playoffs Game log Reference:http://www.nll.com/page/show/433232-rochester-knighthawks?subseason=57601 Rochester Knighthawks – National Lacrosse League May 6, 2012 NLL.com https://archive.today/20120904042407/http://www.nll.com/page/show/433232-rochester-knighthawks?subseason=57601 September 4, 2012 dead mdy-allBlue Cross Arena Division Semifinal 5/1/2009 New York Titans New York Titans (lacrosse) Prudential Center 1 10 11 1 4878 Player stats Reference: http://pointstreak.com/prostats/teamplayerstats.html?teamid=25958&seasonid=3260 Rochester Knighthawks - National Lacrosse League - team stats Pointstreak Sports Technologies Runners (Top 10) Note: GP = Games played;
