If the score was level at the end of normal time, a penalty shoot-out was used to determine the winner (no extra time was played). The mechanism of the draws for each round was as follows: In the draw for the round of 16, the eight group winners were seeded, and the eight group runners-up were unseeded. The seeded teams were drawn against the unseeded teams, with the seeded teams hosting the match. Teams from the same group or the same association could not be drawn against each other. In the draws for the quarter-finals onwards, there were no seedings, and teams from the same group or the same association could be drawn against each other. The draw also decided the home team for each quarter-final, and the "home" team for administrative purposes for each semi-final and final (which were played on neutral ground). Schedule The schedule was as follows.http://www.uefa.com/uefayouthleague/season=2015/draws/index.html https://web.archive.org/web/20140713192140/http://www.uefa.com/uefayouthleague/season=2015/draws/index.html dead July 13, 2014 2014–15 UEFA Youth League – Draws UEFAhttp://www.uefa.com/uefayouthleague/season=2015/competitionformat/index.html https://web.archive.org/web/20140713190923/http://www.uefa.com/uefayouthleague/season=2015/competitionformat/index.html dead July 13, 2014 Competition format UEFA RoundDraw dateMatch date(s)Round of 1615 December 201417–18 & 24–25 February 2015Quarter-finals10–11 & 17–18 March 2015Semi-finals10 April 2015 at Colovray Stadium, NyonFinal13 April 2015 at Colovray Stadium, Nyon Bracket The draw for the knockout phase was held on 15 December 2014, 14:00 CET, at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.https://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsleague/news/0253-0d042488b6be-4c4583c3ced2-1000--media-accreditation-for-club-knockout-draws/ Media accreditation for club knockout draws UEFA 8 December 2014https://www.uefa.com/uefayouthleague/news/0252-0ce43e0ecbf2-78ddfff32fdc-1000--uefa-youth-league-knockout-stage-draw/ UEFA Youth League knockout stage draw UEFA 15 December 2014 On 17 July 2014, the UEFA emergency panel ruled that Ukrainian and Russian clubs would not be drawn against each other "until further notice" due to the political unrest between the countries.http://www.uefa.org/about-uefa/news/newsid=2124836.html Emergency Panel decisions UEFA.org 17 July 2014 Therefore, Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk and Russian club Zenit Saint Petersburg could not be drawn against each other in the round of 16.
