The Identity of Harry Miller
For many years the identity of the pitcher who appeared for the Philadelphia Quakers on October 9, 1884 was wrongly attributed to Joe “Cyclone” Miller. In 2026, newspaper accounts and an obituary were used to identify the pitcher as Harry Miller and confirm that he had pitched in the National League."New Player Discovered", in Bill Carle, ed.: Biographical Research Committee Report, SABR, March/April 2026, p. 1.
