Rain fell for three hours, meaning that the racing did not get under way until 17:00 local time. However the crowd remained and due to the rain, racing was an elimination, do or die, one run, one chance with the top four from each heat qualifying into the next round. In the final Willers did battle with Sam Willoughby and World Champion Joris Daudet with the pair of them passing him on the Red Bull (box) jump before Willers fought back down the rhythm section to pass the pair of them and to take the London round.http://www.uci.ch/Modules/ENews/ENewsDetails.asp?source=SiteSearch&id=NzUzOQ&MenuId=MTI2Mjg&CharValList=575%3B&CharTextList=&CharFromList=&CharToList=&txtSiteSearch=&SelChar194=575&LangId=1 Shanaze Reade and Marc Willers win UCI BMX Supercross World Cup in London Union Cycliste Internationale 21 August 2011 9 July 2012 25 August 2012 https://web.archive.org/web/20120825143535/http://www.uci.ch/Modules/ENews/ENewsDetails.asp?source=SiteSearch&id=NzUzOQ&MenuId=MTI2Mjg&CharValList=575%3B&CharTextList=&CharFromList=&CharToList=&txtSiteSearch=&SelChar194=575&LangId=1 dead Results thumb|Marc Willers and Shanaze Reade on the podium in London Event Winner Second Third , Pietermaritzburg — 8–9 April 2011 Time Trial Supefinal Menhttp://www.bmx-results.com/pdf/2011/pi/pi_em_rl_tt_2.pdf BMX Supercross WC 2011 - Pietermaritzburg (RSA) - Elite Men 8 April 2011 BMX Results 27 August 2011 31 March 2012 https://web.archive.org/web/20120331084315/http://www.bmx-results.com/pdf/2011/pi/pi_em_rl_tt_2.pdf live Joris Daudet FRA Raymon van der Biezen NED Tory Nyhaug CAN Time Trial Supefinal Womenhttp://www.bmx-results.com/pdf/2011/pi/pi_ew_rl_tt_2.pdf BMX Supercross WC 2011 - Pietermaritzburg (RSA) - Elite Women 8 April 2011 BMX Results 27 August 2011 31 March 2012 https://web.archive.org/web/20120331084326/http://www.bmx-results.com/pdf/2011/pi/pi_ew_rl_tt_2.pdf live Manon Valentino FRA Sarah Walker NZL Mariana Pajón COL Men Corben Sharrah USA Khalen Young AUS Joris Daudet FRA Women Manon Valentino FRA Gabriela Díaz ARG Sarah Walker NZL , Papendal — 27–28 May 2011 Time Trial Supefinal Menhttp://www.bmx-results.com/pdf/2011/pa/pa_em_rl_tt_2.pdf BMX Supercross WC 2011 - Papendal (NED) - Elite Men 27 May 2011 BMX Results 27 August 2011 31 March 2012 https://web.archive.org/web/20120331084334/http://www.bmx-results.com/pdf/2011/pa/pa_em_rl_tt_2.pdf live Jelle van Gorkom NED Raymon van der Biezen NED Joris Daudet FRA Time Trial Supefinal Womenhttp://www.bmx-results.com/pdf/2011/pa/pa_ew_rl_tt_2.pdf BMX Supercross WC 2011 - Papendal (NED) - Elite Women 27 May 2011 BMX Results 27 August 2011 31 March 2012 https://web.archive.org/web/20120331084344/http://www.bmx-results.com/pdf/2011/pa/pa_ew_rl_tt_2.pdf live Romana Labounková CZE Sarah Walker NZL Magalie Pottier FRA Men Marc Willers NZL Jelle van Gorkom NED Joris Daudet FRA Women Sarah Walker NZL Romana Labounková CZE Caroline Buchanan AUS , London — 19–20 August 2011 Time Trial Supefinal Menhttp://www.bmx-results.com/pdf/2011/lo/lo_em_rl_tt_2.pdf BMX Supercross WC 2011 - London (GBR) - Elite Men 19 August 2011 BMX Results 27 August 2011 31 March 2012 https://web.archive.org/web/20120331084354/http://www.bmx-results.com/pdf/2011/lo/lo_em_rl_tt_2.pdf live Sam Willoughby AUS Joris Daudet FRA Sylvain André FRA Time Trial Supefinal Womenhttp://www.bmx-results.com/pdf/2011/lo/lo_ew_rl_tt_2.pdf BMX Supercross WC 2011 - London (GBR) - Elite Women 19 August 2011 BMX Results 27 August 2011 31 March 2012 https://web.archive.org/web/20120331084405/http://www.bmx-results.com/pdf/2011/lo/lo_ew_rl_tt_2.pdf live Magalie Pottier FRA Lauren Reynolds AUS Shanaze Reade GBR Men Marc Willers NZL Joris Daudet FRA Nicholas Long USA Women Shanaze Reade GBR Sarah Walker NZL Lauren Reynolds AUS , Chula Vista — 30 September – 1 October 2011 Time Trial Supefinal Men Connor Fields USA Tory Nyhaug CAN Raymon van der Biezen NED Time Trial Supefinal Women Brooke Crain USA Mariana Pajón COL Arielle Martin USA Men Connor Fields USA Raymon van der Biezen NED David Herman USA Women Arielle Martin USA Brooke Crain USA Mariana Pajón COL See also Sports 2013 UCI BMX Supercross World Cup References External links Pietermaritzburg Website Papaendal Website London Website UCI BMX Supercross World Cup UCI BMX Supercross World Cup 2011 Category:International sports competitions hosted at London Olympic Park Category:2011 in sport in London Category:Cycle racing in London
